Welcome to the Room 11 Growth Mindset

Yesterday a colleague visited our classroom to assess some students on reading and phonics. As she began the test with each individual student, she told them that when it got difficult, they could let her know and she'd stop the test.

What happened next makes me the proudest teacher in all the land.

Multiple students responded by telling her that there was no way they would give up on the test. Then they proceeded to explain,

"We don't stop when things get difficult because that's when all the learning happens!"

Now that's what I call taking what you've learned and applying it.

Way to show grit, Team 11!
