EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!
Our class is helping to FIGHT HUNGER in a big way!
Our class was selected to participate in an incredible program that not only gets kids to exercise, but helps to feed children around the world who don't get enough food.
Here's some more about what we're doing:
What is the UNICEF Kid Power School Program?
UNICEF Kid Power is a teacher-led classroom experience that leverages easy-to-use technology and standards-aligned curriculum. The technology includes UNICEF Kid Power Bands for students and a classroom tablet to sync Bands and track progress. The Kid Power curriculum is designed as "missions" to get students active and inspired while they learn about different cultures and UNICEF's work to help children everywhere survive and thrive.
By getting active with the UNICEF Kid Power Band, kids go on missions to learn about new cultures and earn points. Points unlock funding from partners, parents and fans, and funds are used by UNICEF to deliver lifesaving packets of therapeutic food to severely malnourished children around the world. The more kids move, the more points they earn, the more lives they save.
And, just to make our journey to helping others more exciting,
we have been monitoring our progress in the region.
And today, I present to you our FIRST PLACE TEAM:
SLAYDAYS!
I couldn't be more proud of the dedication and commitment my students have made to earning meals for children in need.
Keep up the great work class!
